At Secure ITAD, we strive to be value driven business partners as well as good stewards of the environment. In our tireless pursuit of both, we recently completed the stringent certification process for both R2 (sustainableelectronics.org) and ISO 14001 certifications. R2 stands for “Responsible Recycling” and is a standard specifically created for the electronics recycling industry by Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI). ISO 14001 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organizations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. This is critical to any company engaging IT Asset Disposition, as many of the materials involved are harmful and toxic and require proper handling, shipping, and disposal.
